MALACHI SMITH eDUCAted at De la Salle Collage in East London, E. Cape, Malachi Smith began a journalistic career after a spell at the Naval Academy in Saldanha Bay and Simonstown. Having Sold His first painting at the age of ten, art was irrevocably in his blood, and flinging all to the wind, he embarked full time upon a painting career and now at the age fo 57 has been a dedicated artist for nearly forty years. His first international Exhibition was in new Orleans in 1986, also the first introduction to the now famous "Miniature Print Collection". He has painted various scenes in the Cotswolds, U.k., the Greek Island of Corfu, Spain and Israel. An intenely private man who is devoted to his wife and six children, Malachi has also published ter first of four books in 1999. He also paints under a nom de Guerre and has been acclaimed by many as one of the most versatile living artist in the world. |
