RICHARD ALEXANDER RENNIE Born 1932 Fort Victoria, Rhodesia (Zimbabwe)
1950 – 1952 he studied commercial art at the Natal Technical College and gained a diploma. He emigrated from Rhodesia in 1979 and now lives in Kloof. From 1980 he’s a member of the WSSA & of the Highway Art Group. Although he started painting in oils he soon changed to water colours. This medium suited his impulsive nature. He decided to branch out into full time painting in 1987. His art-work was presented in many one-man and combined exhibitions in Johannesburg, Natal and Cape Town. His paintings are held in many homes in Canada, Australia, USA and England, and his prints are found in many offices and hotels as well as in private home all over South Africa. His originals have been chosen by SAA and are hanging in SAA transit lounges all over the world.
