LORNA PANZENBOCK Born in Germiston in 1949 She moved to Natal in 1976 and has remained here ever since. She worked as secretary for many years. In 1978 she set about learning skills of a commercial artist. In 1980 after the course she studied under a local artist and started selling her art-work since the beginning. She paints in different mediums but has a preference for watercolour. Her choice of subjects varies from birds, flowers, mountains, sea and landscapes to abstracts – especially Bushman images for which she is quite known in Natal. Most of these paintings have been taken mainly to America, Europe, Mauritius and the Far East, to name a few. Lorna is a very prolific and versatile artist; her work can be seen in various galleries & shops in Natal. She exhibits every year at the annual Art in the Park in PMB. In 1996 she was commissioned for two calendars and five paintings by a Cape Town company for blank message cards.
