JOHAN MANEFELDT South African artist Johan Manefeldt has been interested in painting all his life and has done so professionally since 1972. He paints typical South African scenes, landscapes, seascapes and wild life. Johan was born in Johannesburg, and has had lessons with the well-known artist Wallace Hulley. He has had many private and public exhibitions in places such as Johannesburg, Krugersdorp, Pietermaritzburg and Durban. Field Publication commissioned him to do a series of Calendars for the 1980’s. As an artist he has a phenomenal eye for simplifying and redesigning the beauty of nature, as well as an uncanny ability for turning a white sheet of paper into a beautiful scene with space and atmosphere that compels us to see nature in a renewed and intense way
