THOMAS HACKING Thomas Hacking was born in Lancashire, England in 1932. At the age of thirteen he won an art competition for the North England. This led to him later attending an Art School in England. Thomas immigrated to South Africa in the early ‘50s where he developed a great love for the African landscapes and Wildlife in its natural habitat. Although Thomas Hacking’s wildlife has become the most dominant and sought after, his art-work covers a wide variety of subjects. The Prime Minister of the former Rhodesia, the Orange Free State Administration and various other Societies, have commissioned his art work. His art-work has been exhibited in Portland, Washington DC, and many other cities of the USA, throughout Europe, Australia and Zimbabwe.
